ลักษณะอาการของโรค (Disease symptoms and developments)

มักพบในต้นกาแฟที่ให้ผลผลิตมาก เชื้อสามารถเข้าทำลายทั้งในผลอ่อนและผลแก่ อาการที่ปรากฏครั้งแรกจะเห็นเป็นจุดสีน้ำตาลเข้มบนด้านใดด้านหนึ่งของผล จุดแผลเหล่านี้จะขยายออกและรวมกันเป็นแผลที่ไม่มีรูปร่างที่แน่นอนและมีอาการเนื้อเยื่อยุบ ต่อมาผลจะหยุดการเจริญและเปลี่ยนเป็นสีดำ แต่ยังคงติดอยู่บนกิ่งกาแฟ ส่วนของพืชที่ถูกทำลาย: ใบ ผล

วิธีการควบคุม (Control measure)

หลังจากเก็บผลผลิตแล้วควรตัดแต่งกิ่งกาแฟเพื่อกำจัดส่วนที่เป็นโรค ใช้ชีวภัณฑ์ฉีดพ่นใบและดอกกาแฟป้องกันเชื้อราสาเหตุโรคเข้าทำลายเมื่อติดผล
