-เก็บดอกเห็ดที่เชื้อราสร้างออกไปทำลาย
-ตรวจสอบต้นที่เป็นโรค โดยใช้ไม้เคาะลำต้นปาล์มน้ำมัน และถากส่วนที่เป็นโรคออก หลังจากถากส่วนที่เป็นโรคออกหมดแล้ว ทาส่วนที่ถากออกด้วยสารเคมี เช่น coal tar หรือส่วนผสมของ coal tar กับสารป้องกันกำจัดโรคพืชไทแรม
-เมื่อมีการปลูกต้นใหม่ทดแทน ควรกำจัดตอปาล์มเก่าให้เร็วที่สุดที่จะทำได้
