ประเทศไทย โรคนี้พบระบาดในพื้นที่ปลูกกาแฟทางภาคเหนือ เช่นจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ พบโรคได้ทั้งในสวนและในโรงเรือนเพาะกล้า นอกจากนี้พบในแหล่งปลูกกาแฟทั่วไป เช่น สเปน ฮาวาย อเมริกา

โรคระบาดรุนแรงเมื่อพื้นที่ปลูกมีความชื้นสูง

วิธีการควบคุม (Control measure)

ใช้แบคทีเรียปฏิปักษ์ เช่นเชื้อบาซิลลัส (Bacillus subtilis)ฉีดพ่นต้นกล้าเพื่อป้องกันเชื้อราเข้าทำลาย
