พบครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย โดยตรวจพบเชื้อไวรัสใบหงิกผักหวานที่แสดงอาการใบหงิกในจังหวัดนครปฐมและกาญจนบุรี เมื่อปี พ.ศ.2552-2553 ยังไม่มีรายงานพบเชื้อนี้ในต่างประเทศ

-ทำลายและกำจัดต้นที่เป็นโรค เพื่อลดปริมาณเชื้อในบริเวณแปลงปลูก
