ลักษณะอาการหลัก: แผลจุดวงแหวนบนใบ แผลสีน้ำตาลตามแนวยาวของใบ จุดสีซีดบนใบ ดอกด่าง ใบมีอาการคล้ายถูกแดดเผา (sun burn) อาการด่าง บางต้นพบใบมีลักษณะอาการบุ๋มทำให้เนื้อใบขรุขระ และอาจพบจุดไหม้หรือแผลไหม้เกิดขึ้นด้วย บริเวณหน่ออ่นมีกจะมีอาการด่างบางครั้ง รากจะแตกออกมาไม่สม่ำเสมอ ปลายรากมีอาการเน่าแห้งและมีรากใหม่แตกออกมาเรื่อยๆ ดอกมีอาการด่างสีไม่สม่ำเสมอ

-เผาทำลายกล้วยไม้ที่เป็นโรครุนแรงและให้ผลผลิตไม่คุ้มทุน เพื่อลดแหล่งแพร่ระบาด ทำความสะอาดอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้ตลอดจนโต๊ะวางกระถางด้วยสารละลายด่าง เช่น Tri-Sodium Phosphate
-เลือกซื้อและคัดพันธุ์กล้วยไม้ที่ปราศจากไวรัสในการปลูก
